Argumentative Paragraph
“The Greatest Movie Ever Sold”
Alexis
Garcia
Both Peter
Travers and Michael Philips believe that “POM Wonderful Presents: The
Greatest Movie ever Sold” is a humorous film which made people laugh. What
Michael Philips loves about the film is how “Morgan Spurlock cracks up
frequently in front of the camera” (Michael Philips). While Peter Travers
enjoys the way Spurlock interviews movie directors, with his favorite Brett
Ratner the director of Rush Hour. Travers thinks the movie makes people laugh
so much that “Even when you are going to be seeing all of this advertisements
in the documentary, the laughing is going to make you choke.”(Peter Traver)
However both Travers and Philips agree that “it’s a documentary that tells you
even while you are laughing that we are all going to hell in a sponsored
handbasket” (Travers, Philips). However “The Greatest movie ever sold” “is
all about an anecdote in which Spurlock tries to finance the 1.5 million
dollars movie he’s making by pursuing various “brand integration”
possibilities.” (Michael Philips)
